How I got into comics (Submitted by missdeli)
When I was little I just couldn’t get interested in superheroes- they often bored me. I never could find the appeal of them- not even the cartoons. Time passed, and I watched Batman Begins out of curiosity one day, and decided to give at least Batman characters a try. Tracked down info in general about it, got interested in more stuff of DC outside Gotham, searched in bookstores for the most popular books/trades, and finally got my beloved comics and proper comic shop to buy them. I’m glad I did; superheroes have become a big good influence to me in my late teens until today. Frankly they’re a huge part of who I am, of my life, so despite the many silly things they do I still try to find the good stuff out of them; I can’t throw them out just like that.
